Loc Progress in Two Years🔒
I started my loc journey on September 25th, 2021 during the beginning of my senior year in high school. This year in September will be the three-year mark of my loc journey & It’s only been a few years but you can see the growth.
I have lost locs before & it’s been a difficult journey but this is what my loc journey is about, you’re not always going to get it right when it comes to styling, time of budding, DYES, & so much more.

Having embarked on my loc journey in September 2021, I have experienced a range of emotions and challenges that come with growing and maintaining locs. My journey reflects not just personal growth but also the importance of resilience and patience. As I approach the three-year mark, I can see significant transformations in my locs. Understanding the various stages, from budding to maturity, has been essential. Each phase presents unique styling opportunities and challenges. My struggles with loc loss have taught me that hair care is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Each loc needs attention and tender loving care to thrive. It's also imperative to note the impact of products used on locs. Experimenting with different dyes, moisturizers, and styling techniques has contributed to both success and setback throughout my journey. It's about finding what works for you—a journey of self-discovery intertwined with self-care. For anyone beginning their own loc journey, I recommend setting realistic expectations and understanding that growth takes time. Celebrate the small victories along the way, and don't hesitate to seek advice from the community. Joining forums and discussions on natural hair care can provide support and insight. Remember that every loc's journey is unique, and embracing that uniqueness is key to enjoying the process!

Your locs are beautiful ❤️ I’m 6 months into my journey now
