Reading Update 📚✨

Sharing my reading experiences lately, one thing I've noticed is how 'why choose' romance novels have completely changed my perspective on relationships in stories. It’s refreshing not having to limit myself to just one romantic interest for the protagonist—this twist adds layers of complexity and excitement to the narrative. Also, old school urban fiction continues to captivate me despite its gritty themes. It’s fascinating how characters who seemed larger than life can face such stark realities—many beloved ones don't make it through the story, which really keeps the stakes high and emotions raw. The South Hurst Syndicate series has been a rollercoaster, especially with the upcoming fifth book. Knowing that book 2 brought me to tears has me emotionally bracing myself for the conclusion. This kind of emotional investment is why I cherish deep, well-crafted series. Another heartwarming aspect of my current reading goals is the 'Kin' buddy read with my mom and cousins. It’s such a special way to connect while sharing thoughts and feelings about a common story. Reading can be a social experience beyond solo enjoyment. On a personal note, managing to read 77 books so far this year and being ahead of my goal by 5 books feels incredibly motivating. Tracking progress with pages and hours goals helps keep my reading habits intentional and rewarding. I'm excited to keep pushing toward 150 books by 2026!
