Nerve of some people
I've often noticed that people assume a college degree equates to greater intelligence or common sense, but from personal experience, that's simply not true. Many times, I've encountered individuals with advanced degrees who lacked basic interpersonal skills or practical judgment. Conversely, I've met others without formal education who displayed remarkable wisdom and common sense. One valuable lesson is to stay humble and open-minded regardless of educational background. Just because someone attended college doesn't mean they inherently possess better judgment or brightness. Real intelligence combines knowledge, experience, and emotional understanding, which many degrees alone cannot guarantee. In college and later in the workplace, being mindful of this misconception helps foster respect and better communication. It's important not to let credentials create unnecessary divides or feelings of superiority. Instead, focusing on common sense, empathy, and unfiltered honest interactions creates stronger relationships. So remember, as the quote says, "Just because you went to college doesn't make you smarter than anyone else. Common sense doesn't come with a degree." This can help us be more thoughtful and less judgmental in how we view others’ capabilities and character.
