✨Things I’ve craved & Made 🥞🌮🍽️ ✨
I’ve always loved cooking , it’s always been sort of an escape for me , some good music or a good tv show while doing so has always made it fun !
The first trimester of this pregnancy was ROUGHHHHHH .. the nausea and tiredness was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced even with my first two pregnancies. I had 0 energy .. 0 desire to do anything but sleep !
As I started entering the 2nd trimester the energy started to creep back up and I’ve been crazing some of the most delicious things I have ever cooked
First up : 🥞 it was about noon on a Saturday and I wanted some yummmmy pancakes which is wild to me bc I am not a breakfast girl unless it’s a bagel or a bacon egg and cheese sandwich but this was delicious and hit just the spot
2nd : I saw a a recipe for a stuffed chicken on IG and automatically knew I needed to make it for dinner , so I did that same day and it was 🤌🏼!! One of the best chicken recipes I have ever made
3rd : Birria tacos at home ! I love me a good quesabirria taco on a chilly day makes the best meal ever (especially when made at home with love)
Hopefully as my pregnancy continues I continue to have the urge to make yummy meals ! 🍽️🫶🏼

During pregnancy, especially in the second trimester, many women experience a resurgence of energy that reignites their passion for cooking and experimenting with new recipes. I found this period to be a wonderful time to nourish both my body and soul through food. Pancakes, usually not my breakfast choice, suddenly felt like the perfect comfort food on a lazy Saturday. I recommend using fresh ingredients and trying out different toppings like berries or a touch of maple syrup to personalize your pancakes. The stuffed chicken recipe I recreated from Instagram was a game changer. Cooking from inspiration found on social platforms can be exciting because you get to put your own spin on trending dishes. I love adding fresh herbs and a hint of garlic to elevate the flavors. Cooking stuffed chicken at home is not only satisfying but also a great way to enjoy a wholesome dinner that's both flavorful and comforting. Birria tacos are one of my favorite meals to make when the weather turns chilly. The combination of tender, slow-cooked meat, melted cheese, and warm tortillas dipped in the spicy consommé is pure magic. Making birria tacos at home allows you to control the spice level and customize fillings to your liking. I find that serving them with a side of pickled onions and a squeeze of lime really brightens the dish. Throughout my pregnancy, cooking with good music or a favorite TV show running in the background makes the process fun and relaxing, turning meal prep into a cherished ritual rather than a chore. Using tools like an air fryer or a baking glass container can help achieve perfect crispiness and gentle heat for leftovers, ensuring food tastes fresh and delicious even on busy days. To anyone navigating pregnancy cravings or just seeking new meal ideas, I encourage you to explore recipes that bring you joy and comfort. Whether it’s pancakes for breakfast, stuffed chicken for dinner, or birria tacos on a cozy evening, cooking can be an enjoyable and nourishing journey. Preparing meals with love and attention profoundly impacts not only your well-being but also the happiness shared around the table.
