จากประสบการณ์ตรงในการฝึกคุมความคิดและฝึกจิตเบื้องต้น พบว่า การตระหนักรู้ถึงความสำคัญของจิตใจนั้นเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่สำคัญมาก เมื่อเรารู้ว่าใจเป็นผู้นำของทุกสิ่ง และคำพูดหรือการกระทำที่มาจากใจ จะนำมาซึ่งความสุขหรือความทุกข์ การฝึกจิตจึงควรเริ่มจากการมีสติรู้เท่าทันความคิดของตนเอง ไม่ให้ปล่อยให้ความคิดชั่วเข้ามาครอบงำ และการฝึกใจที่ดีต้องไม่เพียงแค่หยุดความคิดไม่ดี แต่ยังต้องสร้างความคิดที่ดีงาม มีเมตตา กรุณา และใจที่บริสุทธิ์ ตามแนวคำสอนพระพุทธเจ้าที่เน้นให้เห็นว่า ถ้าพูดหรือทำสิ่งใดด้วยใจบริสุทธิ์ ความสุขก็จะตามมาเหมือนเงาที่ไม่เคยจากเรา อีกทั้งในเรื่องการควบคุมกิเลส เช่น ไม่หลงใหลความสวยงามเกินควร รู้จักประมาณในการบริโภค และมีความขยันหมั่นเพียร ก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการฝึกใจที่ช่วยให้เราผ่านพ้นการท้าทายของสิ่งรอบตัวอย่างมารและกิเลสได้ ในชีวิตจริงพบว่า เมื่อตั้งใจฝึกทำสมาธิและรู้จักนิ่งไว้ในช่วงที่มีความคิดลบหรือโกรธ ความทุกข์ลดน้อยลงอย่างเห็นได้ชัด และเมื่อเริ่มเห็นคุณค่าของใจบริสุทธิ์ ชีวิตก็มีความสงบสุขมากขึ้นอย่างแท้จริง ความอดทนและความเพียรในการฝึกฝนใจนี้ จึงเปรียบเสมือนกำลังภายในที่ปกป้องเราเหมือนภูเขาหินที่ลมไม่สามารถพัดโค่นได้ สำหรับผู้ที่สนใจ ขอแนะนำให้เริ่มจากการละเลิกพฤติกรรมที่กระตุ้นความคิดชั่ว เข้าใจตัวเอง และหาเวลานั่งสมาธิสั้นๆ ทุกวัน เพื่อฝึกจิตให้เข้มแข็งและบริสุทธิ์ยิ่งขึ้น สุดท้าย ขอฝากคำเตือนว่า "คิดชั่วนั่นนรก" เพราะแท้จริงแล้วทุกข์สุขในชีวิตนั้นอยู่ที่ความคิดของเราเอง หากเราหมั่นฝึกคุมใจให้เป็นไปในทางที่ดี ก็จะนำพาชีวิตไปสู่ความสุขและความสงบที่แท้จริงได้
