home renovation journey🥰💯✨

Adulting milestone unlocked 🏡✨

finally starting my home renovation journey and honestly… it feels a little surreal. this is such a big step in life, and I thought it’d be nice to document the some parts of the journey here.

also really grateful I found someone reliable to guide me through this, especially since I had zero experience going in. my super reliable contractor/ID, who made the whole process a lot less scary because he’s experienced🙌🏻💯

can see the pics i’ve included, personally rlly found these suggestions by my contractor/ID v useful in daily life. (please GET THE PULL OUT whatever in pic 3&4, cos it’s damn useful. not to mention the design outside bomb shelter is *chef kiss💋* cos everyone that comes to my house were so surprised that the bomb shelter room is behind)

all the best to whoever’s out there on the same journey. rlly a new and intimidating experience, but i know i’m in good hands and especially thankful for my family members and friends who gave me lots of great ideas and suggestions❤️

... Read moreRenovating a home for the first time can feel like stepping into the unknown, but having the right guidance truly transforms the experience. One of the best decisions I made was partnering with an experienced contractor and interior designer who understood both my vision and the practical demands of daily living. Their expertise helped me navigate challenges and select smart design elements that optimize space and functionality. For instance, installing pull-out drawers in cabinets and even in unexpected places like the bomb shelter area has been a game changer. These features not only maximize storage but also keep things organized and easily accessible, which is especially valuable in a busy household. The clever design of concealing the bomb shelter room behind a built-in oven pull-out drawer impressed my guests and added a unique touch to my home. As daunting as the renovation process can be, involving family and friends brought in fresh ideas and emotional support. Documenting this journey here helps me reflect on the milestones, learnings, and joy that come with transforming a space into a home. For anyone on a similar path, remember that patience, reliability in your team, and thoughtful planning are key to turning renovation dreams into reality. All the best on your home improvement journey!
