My BEST Drawing SO FARRrRr 🫧🌊🪼
Not My Oc ⚠️
This is my submission for the Silly’s contest!
It was really fun drawing this Oc! If anyone tries to attack me for jellyfish.no I didn’t trace I just got a reference from ibis paint itself and drew the jellyfish by myself!

Hey fellow artists! I'm so excited to share more about how I tackled my Billie Eilish anime drawing. When I first thought about entering Silly's contest, I knew I wanted to do something unique with her iconic style. Billie's fashion and overall vibe are so distinct, and translating that into an anime character was a fun challenge! First, I spent some time looking at different Billie Eilish looks – from her baggy clothes era to more recent appearances. I wanted to capture her essence while still making her look like an anime character. For this piece, I envisioned her with her signature brown and light blue hair, giving it that flowing, ethereal feel. Anime characters often have expressive eyes, so I focused on bringing out that intensity she has. Since the theme was open, I decided to place her in an imaginative underwater scene. I often get inspired by nature, and the idea of glowing white jellyfish creating a soft, magical light around her just clicked. Using Ibis Paint, I started sketching out the pose – crossed arms, a bit mysterious, fitting her persona. Finding good references for underwater lighting and how hair behaves in water was key. Don't be afraid to use references; they're a huge help, not a crutch! Creating the underwater environment was really enjoyable. I played with different shades of blue and green for the water, adding pink coral in the background to make it pop. For the jellyfish, I focused on creating that translucent, glowing effect. Layers are your best friend in digital art for this! I used soft brushes for the glow and sharper ones for the outlines of the bells and tentacles. If you're trying to draw your own fan art of Billie Eilish or any other celebrity in an anime style, my biggest tip is to identify their most recognizable features and exaggerate them slightly in an anime way. For Billie, it's definitely her hair, her expressive gaze, and her unique fashion sense (like the grey track jacket and plaid skirt I included!). Experiment with different color palettes that reflect her mood or a specific song. Don't forget about the background! A well-chosen background, like my underwater setting, can really elevate your character and tell a story. Think about how light interacts with your character and the environment – highlights, shadows, and reflections make a huge difference. Digital art software like Ibis Paint offers incredible tools for blending and adding effects that can bring these fantasy elements to life. Keep practicing, and don't be afraid to join contests; they're a great way to push your boundaries and get creative!

AHH- YOU ARE SO TALENTED AND UNDERRATED-😭💕
