Carnival season in Rio, Part 3 🇧🇷
Take a shot everytime I say amazing in this video lol.
But no truly the sambadrome is such an amazing experience. Like nothing I’ve ever seen, or will ever see, can compare to it. It’s just so much beauty, culture, and energy in one place ✨
Sorry I’m uploading this in so many parts. I was there for about 8 days and we did so much that one minute is just not enough time to fit everything in! The last part is coming tho, and then I’m gonna start posting carnival vlogs from another destination 👀👀
Stepping into the Sambadrome during Rio Carnival is an experience that truly redefines 'amazing.' I've tried to capture it in my videos, and while the 4K 60FPS quality helps showcase the vibrant colors, nothing truly compares to being there in person. The sheer energy emanating from the drumming, the dazzling array of costumes, and the synchronized passion of the samba schools are just breathtaking. It’s a sensory overload in the best possible way, a true celebration of Brazilian beauty, culture, and energy. For anyone planning to attend this incredible CARNIVAL SEASON, especially if you're looking to witness the magic of the Sambadrome, here are a few things I learned. Getting your tickets in advance is absolutely key – they sell out fast, and prices can increase closer to the date! There are different sections, from grandstands (arquibancadas) which offer a panoramic view, to open boxes (frisas) closer to the action, and even VIP lounges. Each offers a unique perspective, so do a little research to find what suits you best. I recommend arriving a bit early to soak up the pre-parade atmosphere, find your spot, and perhaps grab a snack. Wear comfortable shoes because you'll be dancing, walking, and on your feet for hours, and don't forget to stay hydrated – Rio in February is hot! Sunscreen and a hat are also must-haves for daytime activities. While the spectacular parades at the Sambadrome are undoubtedly the main event, Rio Carnival is so much more than just that. The entire city explodes with countless 'blocos' or street parties. These are free, open to everyone, and offer a different, more spontaneous taste of samba. Each bloco has its own unique theme and musical style, from traditional samba to funk and pop. You simply follow the sound, join the dancing crowds, and let yourself get swept away by the infectious joy. It's an incredible way to experience the local culture, interact with Brazilians, and feel truly immersed in the festivities. The samba itself is the heart and soul of the celebration. It's not just a dance; it's a vibrant expression of joy, history, and community that tells stories through movement and rhythm. Learning a few basic samba steps before you go can really enhance your experience and help you feel part of the festivities. Even if you just sway to the beat, the rhythm is infectious and will have you moving! The dedication of the samba schools is awe-inspiring, as they prepare all year for their performance, pouring their hearts and souls into every detail, from the floats to the intricate costumes. This trip was a dream come true, and this PART 3 of my carnival series barely scratches the surface of what the real Rio Carnival offers. It’s a genuine, lively festival that celebrates Brazilian culture unlike any other event in the world. So, if you're dreaming of an authentic, vibrant cultural immersion filled with unforgettable moments and rhythms that will stay with you long after the season ends, remember that the actual Rio Carnival is waiting for you with open arms.
