December Recap 🍋

⭐️Overall rating: 2/5:

👍Pros: Seeing Family and friends dispute the hard times🎄❤️

👍I showed myself Grace, genuinely, for the first time in a looong time, maybe even ever..

👍I was able to push myself, harder then I have since college, to make sure I was spending the maximum amount of time w/ the Minsons making sure the kids ate and had someone to support them

🤔Cons: a Tension headache has come back and she’s maddddd

🤔I think I ate the most fast food I’ve ever eaten in my life this past month, just picking up fast food for breakfast and dinner for all the Kids and myself to survive at the bare minimum 🍔🍟🍕💀

🤔The most obvious Con of not only December but all of 2023 is the passing of Michelle Minson- she was a loved one of mine, mother figure, source of so many good childhood memories, my mothers best friend+ My best friends mother, a strong ass independent women who never let life take her humor or good spirits even in the hardest times, a daughter and above all- just a good human being with a heart and soul of gold 💛💐🌻 she will be greatly missed and forever remembered

The Good Parts: My bestest friend has Lemon8 AND follows me now :) shoutout to Allyson ❤️ lol it’s the little things in life- you are one of the only people I’d intentionally let follow me on here and not feel self conscious because this is a literal open book of a ‘social media page’ meant solely for me to dump my feelings onto

📝Need to Note: Caring for Michelle had a much longer lasting impact on me the I initially expected

📝I requested a leave of absence from work to give myself time to process, grieve and get into a better mindset

📝 I’ve felt like Ive been withdrawing from my medicine (headaches, Dizziness, eye pressure, nausea) but I’ve been taking it, so I’m thinking I should make a doctors apt 🙃🫨

❄️Hopes for January: We get Snow! 🥲 I love winter because of snow- we haven’t gotten any to stick/ accumulate in SW ↙️ NH

❄️Schedule Doc apt + Go to my dentist apt 🦷

❄️I get leave off of work approved 🤞🏼❤️‍🩹

❄️ Go Skiing- specifically ((hopefully)) w/ my brothers ❤️

❄️ Get a massage 😍🥹

❄️Go to Therapy weekly

❄️Walk any day I am able (4/7 days hopefully)

❄️Have my dad over for dinner

❄️ Have Aiden sleep over

❄️ have a doggie play date with my auntie and grandparents 🐾🦴💝

❄️I have to have to have to remember to complete the biannual ARRT credits by February ❗️😳 🏴‍☠️❗️

🎆Hopes for the NEW YEAR: 2024 is about the grind baby, but a healthy balanced grind, a grind including 3x13hr work days a week, hosting 1 lunch/dinner/apps once a month, including days I stay home and sleep until noon and walk around watering my plants drinking tea🪴☕️, including days spent reading chapter after chapter of a book, days I go to the gym, days I shop at TJmaxx and enjoy my credits I’ve earned/ saved up, Days I spend in nature, Days all I can do is shower (if even that), days I reserve for seeing family ❤️ And lastly including any type of day I need w/out judgement, just support 🫂

🎄❄️💝🙃💀💐💛🫂😇🥸😭😭😭🤬😓🫠🫡

... Read moreDecember holds a mix of emotions, reflecting the challenges many face in balancing personal struggles while cherishing family bonds. This past month, I navigated profound grief with the passing of Michelle Minson, a cherished figure in my life whose memory will forever inspire me. Reflecting on family time during the holidays reminds us of the importance of connection, especially during tough times. I experienced moments of joy interspersed with challenges, including health struggles that prompted a reevaluation of self-care habits. Navigating fast food for convenience was one part of my survival strategy, highlighting the sometimes overwhelming nature of life’s demands. Looking forward, January brings a chance for renewal. There’s hope for snowfall and activities that bring joy, like skiing with loved ones and ongoing support through therapy. Each intention I set for the new year aims to create a balanced life focused on mental health and well-being. It’s a reminder that it’s perfectly okay to include self-care days amidst our busy lives. As we transition into 2024, let’s embrace our own journeys, reflecting on our accomplishments, from simply getting through the year to enjoying moments of happiness with family and friends. May this new year be filled with healthier choices, self-acceptance, and support without judgment, allowing us to evolve into the person we aspire to be!
