My favorite things in Iceland

Oh boy I loved Iceland! I went a few years ago and it was actually my vacation post Covid. I rented a car and spent 5 days exploring this beautiful island. We didn’t do the full ring road because we were short on time and knew we couldn’t be in the car a full 7-10 days with each other. I know some people will tell you go in the winter for the northern lights but I went in June and think it was the perfect time of year. We wore leggings, hiking boots, a t shirt, and a light jacket. It was so enjoyable and its basically light all day long the sun never truly sets so there is plenty of time to explore. Now back to why Iceland is amazing!

1. As a horse girl I loved this! Just seeing the wild horses roam free and safely is actually breathtaking

2. So the scenery is out of this world. Sometimes you will like your on a glacier and other times you will feel like your on the moon. The diamond beach might have been my favorite.

3. This is a strange one but the hot dogs! Idk why but they just hit better and I’ve never found one that’s better and believe me I’ve tried. The best one is on the way to Vik. It’s a drive thru and you can’t miss it.

4. Another odd one but I loved Skool Beans. The hot chocolate is amazing and the owner is like the British Ms. Frizzle

5. The waterfalls!!!! This one is a given but even just hiking to them is amazing.

I know there are so many other reasons to love Iceland but, I can’t make this 2000 slides long.
