Don’t make these mistakes in England
Oh boy do I like this country and it’s actually pretty easy to get around but I will say there is nothing that makes panic more is when I try to use the subway system for the first time in a new country. I think the tube is actually one of the easiest public transportation systems to navigate but what is complicated is figuring out what to buy when you’re trying to buy an oyster pass. Luckily you don’t have to! It took me at least 6 trips to England to figure this out but you can actually just use Apple Pay. Literally tap your phone at gate and keep moving. Don’t forget to take your phone out when you exit but literally it’s that’s easy.
Now this other thing you should keep in mind is that England is more of a day drinking city. A lot of places aren’t open that late. Pubs in particular close at midnight and most bars close by 2am the latest. Pubs are my favorite because they allow dogs and have Sunday Roast! I do really like bars in London and I will happily share my favorites in another post but I do think London is the best at happy hour. Like if you want to go out and drink with locals it’s a pub on the weekends or happy hour. I’ll be sharing more tips over the next few weeks but I thought these were two helpful tips for my favorite country.
