Were you born into Generation Jones? We are unique.
We were distant observers of the Vietnam War and the Fall of Saigon in 1975 as young, impressionable children. We were shaped by major cultural and economic moments like the 1970s energy crisis and the rise of cable television.
We remember the tail end of the Boomer era — Watergate, the oil crisis, punk rock, and early MTV — while also experiencing many of the coming-of-age realities tied to Gen X. We really got a little of both generations.
We were raised with big dreams, but economic reality made many of us more pragmatic, cautious, and cynical than older Boomers. We might actually be worse 😉
I'mma Joneser!
