Make BAD ART with me 🖌️❌

Lolllllll she’s not that bad right? Right??🫠

I didn’t feel like finding a reference for the pose I had in mind so I tried to freestyle it and well look where that ended. I draw a lot of “bad art” in between my “good art” but I have a hard time showing it bc the art community can be really… spicy🌶️… and sometimes I don’t have the thick skin necessary for that. In fact my skin is very paper like; I will cry lol.

I have so many bad artworks it’s not even funny but I figured I’d share this one that I did today for any other artist out there like me that also find themselves drawing horrible things but too afraid to share it.

... Read moreCreating art can often feel intimidating, especially when the focus tends to be on perfection. However, embracing bad art is crucial for personal growth and creativity. Poor attempts not only represent the process but also highlight the learning journey all artists experience. Many artists, both budding and experienced, grapple with sharing their so-called 'bad art.' The truth is, these pieces often serve as stepping stones towards improvement and self-discovery. Social media can amplify feelings of inadequacy, but it's essential to remember that the art community thrives on authenticity. By being transparent about struggles, artists can foster camaraderie and support. Engaging with hashtags like #artiststruggles or #failureleadstosuccess can connect creators sharing similar journeys, creating a nurturing environment. Bad art can surprise us; sometimes, what feels wrong may resonate with others. Moreover, documenting your artistic process, including those 'bad' moments, not only provides a visual record of growth but also creates a narrative that others can relate to. Art is subjective, and each piece—regardless of its perceived quality—carries value in the learning experience it provides. So, don't shy away from sharing. It's time to redefine our relationship with failure and use it as a foundation for creative exploration.

I struggle a lot with anatomy and hands so usually I’ll get someone to pose for me or I’ll do the pose myself. I trace the basic shapes after so i know where everything is and then put my art style over those basic shapes.
