Boy meets world

Oh my goodness, Boy Meets World! Just thinking about it brings back so many fond memories. It was the show for my generation, and honestly, it still holds up. I recently found myself re-watching Season 6, and it got me thinking about the incredible cast who brought these iconic characters to life. Who could forget the rollercoaster of emotions that season gave us, especially with Cory and Topanga's journey? Season 6 was such a pivotal time for our favorite gang. Of course, the heart of the show remained Ben Savage as Cory Matthews, the relatable everyman navigating love, friendship, and growing up. His on-screen chemistry with Danielle Fishel, who played the brilliant and beautiful Topanga Lawrence-Matthews, was just magic. We saw them planning their wedding and taking those first big steps into adulthood – it felt like we were growing up right alongside them! Then there's the unforgettable Rider Strong as Shawn Hunter, Cory's best friend and the show's resident bad boy with a heart of gold. Shawn's journey in Season 6 was particularly poignant as he grappled with his identity and future. And how could we talk about the cast without mentioning Will Friedle as Eric Matthews? Eric truly came into his own as a comedic genius in the later seasons, and his antics always had me laughing out loud. And of course, the wise, ever-present guidance of William Daniels as Mr. Feeny was indispensable. He wasn't just a teacher; he was a life coach for all of us! Beyond the core four (and Feeny!), Season 6 introduced or solidified some other key players. Trina McGee-Davis as Angela Moore, Shawn's insightful and artistic girlfriend, brought such an important dynamic to the group. Her relationship with Shawn was one of the most real and raw on the show. We also had Matthew Lawrence as Jack Hunter, Shawn's half-brother, who added another layer of family drama and humor, especially with his friendship/roommate dynamic with Eric. And let's not forget Maitland Ward as Rachel McGuire, the new roommate who stirred things up in the apartment. Each of these actors contributed so much to making Season 6 feel vibrant and full of growth. It’s truly amazing to look back and see how these talented individuals shaped our childhoods. Many of them have gone on to continue acting, direct, or even host podcasts sharing their #BoyMeetsWorld experiences. Ben Savage, for instance, has continued acting and even made a political run! Danielle Fishel has directed episodes of TV shows, including the spin-off *Girl Meets World*, and runs a haircare line. Rider Strong is also involved in directing and podcasting. It’s comforting to know that even after all these years, the cast still holds a special bond, often reuniting for conventions or their own re-watch podcasts. It just goes to show what a truly special and enduring #favoriteshow Boy Meets World was, and continues to be, for so many of us who grew up in the #90s. Re-watching it now, it’s not just a #throwbackthursday, it’s a timeless lesson in friendship, family, and growing pains.
