「棚下不動の滝（雄滝）」に行くなら、個人的に“滝だけじゃない見どころ”を押さえておくと満足度が上がりました。私はまず駐車場に 着いた瞬間、目に入る巨岩と不動明王像にびっくり。東日本大震災で落ちてきた岩から彫られたと知って、手を合わせながら石碑の文章もじっくり読みました。観光地としての迫力だけじゃなく、祈りの場所なんだな…と空気が少し変わる感じがします。 滝までは体感で10分ちょっと。道は整備されていて歩きやすいけれど、ところどころ湿っていたり、滝の近くは水しぶきで滑りやすいのでスニーカー推奨です。私は油断していて、滝前で風が吹いた瞬間にミストを浴びて前髪が終わりました（笑）。カメラやスマホは、レンズ拭きがあると安心。裏見ポイントは特に水滴が飛ぶので、撮影するなら手早く。 “裏見の滝”って実際どう見えるの？と思っていたけど、滝のカーテン越しに森や遠くの山が透けて見えて、想像以上に神秘的でした。正面・横・少し高い位置など、角度を変えるだけで表情が変わるのも楽しいところ。途中の高台から見える景色も気持ちよくて、私はそこで少し休憩して深呼吸しました。 参道側には赤い鳥居や石造りの鳥居、手水舎、小さな社殿もあって、ちょっとしたパワースポット巡り感もあります。滝を見て終わりにせず、鳥居周辺もゆっくり歩くのがおすすめ。 行く時間帯は、混みやすい休日の昼前後を避けると写真も撮りやすいです。朝〜午前中は光が入って滝がきれいに見えやすく、夏は涼しくて本当に癒やされました。次に行くなら、タオルと虫よけを持って、もう少し長くのんびりしたいなと思っています。
