【 Gunma 】 Traditional Kiryu Tenmangu Shrine💗
Kiryu Tenmangu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Tenjin-cho, Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture.
Kiryu Tenmangu Shrine is the starting point of Honmachi-dori Street, the center of Kiryu City, which was formed in the early modern period, and Kiryu Tenmangu Shrine and its surrounding area have been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in Kiryu Shinmachi.
It is regarded as the total guardian of Kiryu, and the former shrine rank is a prefectural shrine. The shrine is designated as an important cultural property of the country.

「桐生天満宮って実際どんな雰囲気？」と気になっている人向けに、私が行ってみて良かったポイントをまとめます。 まず印象に残ったのは、秋の色づき。鳥居をくぐった先にイチョウの黄色とモミジの赤が重なって見えて、「秋みつけた」って言いたくなる景色でした。参道は落ち葉がふかふかに敷き詰められていて、写真を撮るなら足元まで入れる構図がおすすめ。見上げても紅葉のグラデーションが広がっていて、境内のどこを切り取っても絵になります。 境内を歩いていると、七五三のお参りの家族がちらほら。和服姿の参拝客もいて、門のあたりや社殿前は特に華やかでした。 小さな子の着物姿って本当に可愛くて、こちらまで幸せな気分に。混雑が気になる場合は、早めの時間に行くと写真も撮りやすいと思います。 建物の見どころとしては、社殿が国の重要文化財に指定されているところ。近くで見ると彫刻や木の質感がしっかり感じられて、紅葉だけじゃなく“歴史のある神社に来た”という満足感がありました。境内には臥牛（牛の像）もいて、赤いよだれかけが目印。参拝の合間に探すのも楽しいです。 あと、桐生天満宮の良さは周辺散策と相性がいいこと。ここは本町通りの起点でもあるので、参拝後に少し歩くだけで、伝統的建造物が並ぶ街並みを楽しめます。紅葉シーズンは神社＋街歩きで「短時間でも満足度高め」な休日になりました。
