「キングダムのロケ地って群馬のどこ？」「法水寺は作中のどのシーンに出るの？」と気になって行ってきました。結論、佛光山法水寺（ほうすいじ）は“画面映え”するポイントが多くて、現地に立つと「あ、この雰囲気見たことある！」となりやすい場所でした。 私が特にテンション上がったのは、まず山門の迫力。近くで見ると本当に大きくて、石段を上がるだけでも旅感が出ます。門の周りには赤い提灯が並んでいて、写真を撮るならここがいちばん分かりやすい“キングダムっぽさ”。スマホでも広角で撮ると奥行きが出て、春秋戦国の宮殿セットみたいな雰囲気になります。 「どのシーン？」問題は、作品やカットで感じ方が変わると思うのですが、私の体感では“寺っぽい”というより「巨大な門・回廊・広い境内＝権力のある場所の外観」にハマる印象でした。なので、聖地巡礼目的なら、①山門正面（引きの写真）②門をくぐって見える本堂（奥行き）③白い仏像と景色が一緒に入る場所、の3点は必ず押さえるのがおすすめです。 境内は開放感がすごくて、晴れの日は遠くの街並みまで見渡せます。タイミングが良いと雪化粧した谷川岳が見えて、“天空の寺院”って呼ばれるのも納得。風鈴が揺れる小道もあって、静かに歩くだけで気分転換になりました。 実用メモも少し。拝観料が無料なので、伊香保温泉へ向かう途中の寄り道にちょうど良いです。階段や坂があるので歩きやすい靴が安心。写真目的なら午前〜昼の明るい時間がきれいに撮れました。 最後に、境内で見かけた小坊主の石像が可愛くて癒やされました。「說好話」の文字も印象的で、観光だけじゃなく気持ちが整う感じ。キングダム目当てでも、普通に“異国情緒スポット”として満足度が高かったです。
