how to prevent procrastination at its root 🌟🧘♀️
procrastination can be so hard to snap out of in the moment, so here are some tips that help prevent the feeling at its root:
🌟1: doomscrolloing, multitasking, and other activities warp our brain to constantly stay in a state where we are always stimulated. to break out of this, do simple activities that don't require a device, like journaling and mindfulness. in addition, practice being bored so that you don't immediately crave dopamine the moment something doesn't hold your focus.
🌟2: similarly, craving the rush of dopamine in every activity you do, makes it so easy to lose focus and interest in the things that matter. To prevent this, try avoiding activities that give an instant boost of dopamine in place for activities that release it slower, like exercise, cooking, or similar activities.
🌟3: if the main reason you keep finding yourself procrastinating is because of the dread of a big goal or project, try breaking it down into smaller parts. this will help in making your goal seem less daunting and will help in making you feel accomplished every time you finish one of the smaller goals, instead of just at the completion.
i hope this helps you guys get started in whatever work you’ve been putting off, and i would appreciate it if you could like this so more people can see, thanks!

Procrastination is a common challenge that many face, deeply rooted in our modern lifestyle. One of the main issues is overstimulation caused by excessive screen time, often referred to as doomscrolling. This can be counteracted by engaging in activities that require no electronic devices, such as journaling or practicing mindfulness. These activities help restore the brain’s focus and reduce the constant craving for instant stimulation. Additionally, our brains often seek immediate rewards, which can diminish our motivation for tasks requiring longer commitments. To combat this, consider incorporating slower-reward activities into your routine, such as exercise or cooking, which promote sustained dopamine release. When confronting overwhelming tasks, breaking them down into smaller, manageable parts can significantly reduce the dread associated with large projects. Each completed chunk can provide a sense of accomplishment and maintain motivation. Integrating these strategies into your daily habits can pave the way for greater productivity and less procrastination in your life.
