Part 2 | GGs Trapper✨
Hey fellow survivors! Following up on my last post about giving Trapper a hard time, I wanted to dive even deeper into some advanced strategies for looping this classic killer. We all know how frustrating it can be to step into a well-placed trap, but with a bit of practice – dare I say, 'mazercise' – you can really turn the tables and make them regret picking ol' Evan MacMillan! One of the biggest mistakes I see beginners make when trying to 'loop a Trapper' is not respecting his setup time. Unlike other killers, Trapper often needs to place his traps, which means the early game is crucial. If you can identify where he's setting up, you can often deny him strong trap placements around key loops. Always keep an eye out for him bending down; that's your cue to either run to another generator or try to catch him off guard. When you're actually in a chase, the key is to predict, predict, predict! Trapper players often have favorite spots. Learn these common trap locations near strong palettes or windows. Instead of blindly vaulting, sometimes it's better to fake a vault or go for a different path entirely, forcing him to either commit to a broken loop or chase you elsewhere. For me, anticipating where he wants to put a trap, and then avoiding that area, has saved my skin countless times. Another tip I've found incredibly useful is managing palettes. Against Trapper, dropping a palette isn't just about stunning him; it's also about preventing him from placing a trap there. If a palette is down, it's a 'dead zone' for his traps temporarily. Don't be afraid to drop safe palettes early if it means you can deny him a powerful trap setup. It's a trade-off, but often worth it to keep a strong looping zone clear. Perks can make a huge difference too. 'Lithe' or 'Dead Hard' are fantastic for extending chases and creating distance, allowing you to bypass a trap you might have otherwise hit. 'Balanced Landing' on multi-level maps is also a personal favorite. And for information, 'Spine Chill' can give you a heads-up when he's approaching, letting you prepare for the chase or pinpoint a trap he just placed. Ultimately, mastering the Trapper loop is all about mind games and map awareness. It's not just about running; it's about making him waste time checking traps you've disarmed, or setting them in useless locations. Remember, a successful loop against a Trapper isn't just about avoiding his M1; it's about dancing around his traps and making him feel like he's chasing a phantom. Keep practicing, and you'll be hitting those 'GGs' in no time!
