HOLY CRAP THAT HURT!
I think I broke my finger!! #gorillatag #gtag #gorillatagvr #virtualreality
After that intense Gorilla Tag session where I thought I broke my finger – seriously, I heard a BANG!! when my hand hit something – it got me thinking. How common are these kinds of VR injuries, especially in a game as physical as Gorilla Tag? I mean, we're all out there swinging, climbing, and trying to juke opponents, often forgetting we're in a physical space. My 'broken finger' scare was a real wake-up call. The immediate sharp pain was terrifying. I was so immersed I completely forgot about my surroundings. It really makes you wonder about the 'worst Gorilla Tag injury' stories out there. I've heard tales of people punching monitors, spraining wrists, or even falling over while trying to make a quick escape. It's easy to get carried away when you're having so much fun! So, what can we do to avoid these painful moments? First off, always, always, ALWAYS set up a proper play space. Clear out any obstacles, furniture, or anything you might accidentally hit. I thought my space was clear, but clearly, it wasn't clear enough for my high-flying Gorilla Tag antics! Using guardian boundaries is essential, but sometimes, when you're really into the game, you push those limits. Another tip is to always wear your controller straps. I know, I know, it feels a bit restrictive sometimes, but trust me, a flying controller can do some serious damage – to your TV, your pet, or even yourself. Imagine the impact of a controller flying off your hand mid-swing. Not good! Warming up before a session, especially if you're planning on a long one, can also help. Just like any physical activity, stretching your wrists, shoulders, and even your fingers can make a difference. And don't forget to take breaks! Continuous intense play can lead to fatigue, making you more prone to accidents. If you do get hurt, like my suspected broken finger, it's important to stop playing immediately. Assess the injury. Is it just a bruise, a sprain, or something more serious? For me, the pain was pretty bad, and I had to take a break for the rest of the day. If the pain persists or you suspect something is truly broken, please get it checked out by a doctor. It's not worth risking long-term damage for a game, no matter how fun it is. Let's all try to be more mindful of our physical environment and our bodies when we're playing Gorilla Tag. The game is incredibly immersive and exciting, but our safety should always come first.
