Day 3 of organizing one room or space in my house ✨

Today’s victim: the spice cabinet 😂🌶️

Pulled everything out, cleaned it from top to bottom, got rid of what needed to go, and finally got it all organized. I really should’ve counted how many times I sneezed during this process because it had to be a record. 🤧😂

But she’s CLEAN, she’s ORGANIZED, and I can actually find what I’m looking for now 🙌🏻

Also, please ignore my sun-blistered lips. They’re fighting for their life right now. 🫠☀️

Now… what space should I tackle for Day 4?! 👀

... Read moreOrganizing your spice cabinet can truly transform your kitchen experience. From my personal journey, I found that the key to maintaining an orderly spice rack lies in not just cleaning, but also categorizing and labeling each item clearly. When I tackled my own spice cabinet, I emptied every shelf and drawer, wiped down all surfaces thoroughly to remove old crumbs and dust, and disposed of expired or unused spices. One helpful tip is to group spices by type—such as herbs, baking spices, and heat sources—and store frequently used ones at eye level for quick access. During my cleaning, I noticed certain brands like Old Bay and crab boil seasoning often get lost in the shuffle, so I created a special section just for these unique blends, making it easier to find them when craving flavorful seafood dishes. Sneezing bouts are common, given the fine powders involved, so keeping a window open or wearing a mask might make the process more comfortable. I also invested in clear spice jars with airtight lids and labels, which not only look neat but preserve freshness longer. Reflecting on this task, it felt incredibly satisfying to reclaim this often-overlooked space. The organization reduces cooking stress since I can grab what I need immediately without a scavenger hunt. If you’re inspired to continue organizing your home, consider planning a different zone each day—closets, pantry shelves, or even your fridge. This methodical approach makes the task manageable and encourages sustained motivation. Ultimately, a clean and organized spice cabinet is more than just tidiness; it enhances your culinary creativity and kitchen efficiency every day.
