Looking like Huddy has CMPA. I’m going to keep Boston on Goats milk and try a hypoallergenic formula for Huddy. I wanted them on the same formula but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

From personal experience, my baby Huddy exhibited clear signs of CMPA such as fussiness and digestive discomfort, which led me to explore hypoallergenic formulas specifically designed for protein sensitivities. Goat milk-based formulas can sometimes be gentler on sensitive tummies, like with my other child Boston, who thrived on it. However, it's important to note that goat milk formulas are not hypoallergenic and may not be suitable for all babies with CMPA. For babies like Huddy who require strict avoidance of cow's milk proteins, extensively hydrolyzed or amino acid-based hypoallergenic formulas are often recommended by pediatricians. I experimented with several well-known formulas, observing how each affected gas, reflux, and stool softness. Some formulas caused more constipation or reflux, while others lacked appeal to my babies, making feeding difficult. Nutritionally complete options such as Enfamil NeuroPro Gentlease helped reduce crying and gas, but were not tolerated by Huddy. Similac Alimentum, a hypoallergenic formula, ultimately became a suitable choice for Huddy, despite its higher cost. Throughout this process, monitoring my babies’ reactions closely and consulting with healthcare professionals was key. It's crucial to ensure the chosen formula supports immune development, brain and eye growth, and digestive health while meeting the baby's unique needs. For parents facing similar challenges, patience and careful observation are vital. No single formula suits all babies with CMPA or sensitive digestion, so individualized choices backed by evidence and medical guidance can lead to healthier, happier babies. Sharing these experiences helps other families understand the complexities and find comfort in knowing they're not alone on this journey.
