Underrated and Overrated Places in the US 🇺🇸

I know some people are going to be upset about my opinions on New York but it’s my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sedona: This is genuinely one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in my life! I really like the outdoors, but even if you don’t there a bunch of cute shops located right in the center of town. If you are an outdoorsy person then this is the place for you. There are so many cute hiking trails, mountain bike paths, and even jeep off-roading paths. It’s so beautiful and I definitely would recommend!

New York: While I know this is a lot of people’s dream destination, don’t let the hype fool you. New York is great if you go in with lower expectations. I think people overhype it way too much making everyone’s expectations much higher than they should be for the city. For upstate New York, it’s pretty nice; I just think there are better and unique places to go for outdoorsy things in the US.

In discovering America’s hidden gems, also consider places like Asheville, North Carolina, known for its vibrant arts scene and proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains, or San Antonio, Texas, which combines rich history with a lively culture. For those seeking unique experiences and avoiding tourist traps, these places provide authentic interactions and stunning scenery. Wait so is the key here states that are scribbled out without a name=overrated and states with a name and clear=not overrated? Because if Colorado is overrated here then yeah I agree, as a local Coloradan this goes to all people considering moving here (specifically Californians and Texans): Don’t. It’s not worth it you’re going to hate it after 2 years or your money back
