The Honest Review - What’s in my Work Bag
Hey y’all 🤩
Blog with me - What’s in my Work Bag
I found this huge beautiful bag at my local T-Maxx for $6, so it technically is a produce bag so the side pockets don’t have bottoms to them but how I have been thinking about hand sewing some because it’s super simple to do.
Anywayyy 🥰
What’s in my Bag, you ask?
Well, I have my typical work items, laptop/laptop lock, charger, and two headsets (gotta keep an extra because you never know) 🤝🏽 honestly this is all I need to take to work but OF COURSE I TAKE MORE then needed.
Filling two pockets I keep my pen/highlighter, planner, reading book, and a notebook. I take these items to work so I can have something to do while on my breaks and when calls aren’t as frequent. 💋
Filling two more pockets I have my lunch/daily snacks, and 3 drinks, I am at work for 8 hours 11-715 so I pretty much eat breakfast, lunch and a snack while at work so call me a hog if you want 🤍
Filling one pocket is headaets for work
The last pocket stays pretty empty but I will use for an extra change of underclothes, feminine products, makeup, really just what I would keep in a purse or small bag.
That’s about it, I want to brag on this heavy duty bag, it’s VERY LARGE YALL, if you keep it neat and organized you can have so much use out of it. Let me know if y’all would use this bag, comment below 😍

Okay, so you’ve seen what I pack in my (amazing!) XL T-Maxx bag, but let’s dive a little deeper into making your own work bag work for *you*! Finding the perfect bag is truly step one. Mine is an unexpected find – an "XL SHOPPING BAG" that happens to be super durable and spacious, which just proves you don't always need a fancy briefcase! When you're picking yours, consider not just style, but also practicality: Is it comfortable to carry? Does it protect your tech? And can it handle all your daily essentials without feeling like a black hole? For those of us with larger bags, organization is key. My bag had an interesting "produce bag" design where the side pockets didn’t have bottoms – a fun quirk! But it got me thinking about DIY solutions. If your bag lacks internal compartments, don't despair! You can easily add fabric inserts, small pouches, or even consider simple sewing projects like adding a bottom to a pocket, just as I've been contemplating. These small changes can make a huge difference in keeping your pens, chargers, and small items from getting lost at the bottom. Clear makeup bags or pencil cases are also fantastic for corralling smaller bits like lip balm, pain relievers, or extra hair ties. Now, let’s talk about the essentials. Beyond the obvious like your laptop and charger, think about items that boost your comfort and productivity throughout the day. For me, that includes my planner and a reading book – having something non-work related for breaks is a lifesaver for mental clarity. What helps you de-stress or recharge? Maybe it's a small journal, a sketchbook, or even a travel-sized hand cream that smells amazing. Don't underestimate the power of these little comforts! And speaking of necessities, having an extra headset, like mine, is a game-changer if your job relies on calls. You never want to be caught off guard! And let’s be real, fueling an 8-hour workday means packing smart! I'm definitely a 'grazer' at work, so my bag always includes snacks and a few drinks. Hydration is so important; I often grab a bottle of alkaline smartwater to keep me going. Think about what keeps your energy steady. Are you a coffee person? A tea lover? Or do you prefer healthy snacks like fruit or nuts? Preparing these ahead of time saves money and ensures you’re eating well. Consider a reusable water bottle (or two!) and a compact lunchbox that fits neatly into your bag. Ultimately, your work bag is an extension of your daily life. It should be a functional, organized space that supports your workday, not hinders it. Take a moment to assess what you truly need, what brings you comfort, and how you can organize it all effectively. Everyone's work bag contents will be unique, but the goal is the same: to be prepared, stay comfortable, and make your workday a little smoother. What’s one item you can’t live without in your work bag?
