How do you layer fragrances and what is your favorite brand? You apply them in various orders until you find the combo you enjoy the most. So the first one you use will be the base scent. That’s the one that will sink into your skin and combine with your chemistry the most, with the second scent complementing the first. Which of the scents do you want to smell the most like throughout your day? Do you prefer food smelling scents? Citrus, gourmand (like desserts), or florals?
I love the fact that both of these brands also offer home scents for you to try out. So candles, diffusers, and in dedcool’s case: laundry detergent and car fresheners. Of the two, Dedcool is more easily available in Sephora stores. Sholayered is a Japanese brand that offers some unique scents, including Mysterious Mix which smells of tobacco (and surprisingly not in a bad way. At least for me it elicited memories about my grandfather).
Even though these scents are meant to be layered, of course you can wear the scents by themselves! Because of my asthma, I can’t handle overpowering fragrances. Wearing these types of mild options even individually, has allowed me to start enjoying other fragrances on the market. I highly recommend both brands because of their unique and subtle options. I say subtle, but they still lasted for hours for me (and if I spray it on my jacket for example, the scent can last for days).
