In Too Deep Vanilla Scent From 5 Sens Review

I’m extremely sensitive to fragrances and perfumes. I can get headaches or they can set off my allergies/asthma, and I end up hacking and coughing. So it’s been super hard to find scents that work for me. Slowly but surely, I’ve been branching out and trying new to me brands. I am happy to report that this is one of those scents that I can handle! It actually makes me want to try out more scents from 5 Sens as a result.

I am all about vanilla scents, and I am so excited to have been introduced to this one! I have a new signature scent. I’ve tried other fragrances with sandalwood in them, and often it can overpower even the top notes in some of the scents I’ve tried. This was not a problem with In Too Deep! You could smell the undertones of bergamot, sandalwood, and musk the longer you wear it. This wasn’t overly sweet, which is why I think I loved it so much. I honestly feel like this would be a great gender neutral option as a result.

I also loved the fact that this melted into my skin after applying. It didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky which I’ve noticed with some other perfumes on the market. Whenever I caught a hint of the scent throughout the day when I wore it on my wrist, I would pause to get a deeper smell of it because I enjoyed it so much. It’s warm and a perfect cozy scent for the fall season!

... Read moreBuilding on my initial thoughts, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why the 5 Sens 'In Too Deep' vanilla scent has genuinely captivated me, especially considering my usual struggles with perfumes. It’s not just a scent; it’s an experience that’s both comforting and surprisingly versatile. When I first spray 'In Too Deep,' I'm enveloped in a warm, rich vanilla that's immediately inviting. What sets it apart is that it’s truly a *balanced vanilla musk that is not too sweet*. Many vanilla fragrances can lean very sugary, almost childlike, but this one has a sophisticated warmth. The initial sweetness quickly mellows, allowing the brighter, almost sparkling notes of bergamot to peek through, preventing it from ever feeling heavy or cloying. And then, there’s the *sandalwood*. I’ve had issues with sandalwood being too dominant in other perfumes, but here, it’s a gentle, creamy undertone that harmonizes beautifully with the musk, creating a velvety, soft foundation that lingers subtly. One of the most practical aspects of this perfume is its longevity. For a fragrance that feels so light and doesn't overpower, I get a solid 6-8 hours of wear on my skin, and it clings even longer to my clothes. It has a moderate sillage, meaning it projects enough for those close to notice, but it won't fill a room, which is perfect for my sensitive nose and for everyday wear. I often find myself catching a soft waft of it throughout the day, and it always brings a little moment of joy. While I initially saw it as a *cozy fall scent*, I’ve found myself reaching for 'In Too Deep' year-round. It’s surprisingly adaptable – great for a casual brunch, a workday in the office, or even an intimate evening out. Its gender-neutral appeal is also a huge plus; it truly smells incredible on anyone, adapting to individual skin chemistry. It’s not about defining a gender, but about embracing a warm, inviting, and complex aroma. What also resonates deeply with me, as highlighted in the images, is 5 Sens’ commitment to being a clean, vegan, and cruelty-free brand. Knowing that this perfume is purpose-driven and made with thoughtful, high-quality ingredients, without compromising on ethical standards, makes wearing it even more enjoyable. The fact that it melts into my skin without any stickiness is just a testament to its quality and careful formulation. If you’re searching for a sophisticated, comforting vanilla that’s gentle on sensitive systems and aligns with conscious values, 'In Too Deep' is definitely a new favorite vanilla scent to try. I’m now genuinely excited to explore more from 5 Sens!
