discipline 🤝🏾 self care ✨

I used to think self care just meant rest, having a slow morning, or having a fancy skincare routine. But self care can also mean being disciplined. Keeping promises to myself and showing up on the days even when I don’t feel like it. Holding myself accountable. That’s the self care that I really needed. I can still do the other things too lol however this season is about discipline, consistency, and showing up no matter what 💕

Initially, I believed self care was just about relaxation and pampering, like taking a long bath or enjoying a quiet morning. However, over time, I realized that true self care also involves holding myself accountable—showing up consistently, even on tough days. This mindset shift helped me build stronger habits around my physical and mental health. For example, setting specific goals and sticking to them taught me to honor my own promises, which boosted my self-respect and confidence. It’s not always easy to push through moments when motivation dips, but discipline provides the structure to keep going regardless of mood or circumstance. I found that combining discipline with self compassion was key. Rather than being harsh or rigid with myself, I treated discipline as an act of kindness—showing up because I value my well-being. This balance helped me avoid burnout and supported long-term growth. If you’re exploring this approach, start small by choosing one area to focus your discipline—whether it’s a morning routine, exercise, or mindfulness practice—and commit to it for a set time. Celebrate the days you follow through and gently reset when you stumble. Over time, discipline becomes a form of self care that nurtures your entire glow-up journey and supports your resetera, fostering accountability and consistent personal growth.
