Listening to an audiobook instead of reading today
So I'm listening to a dramatized audiobook today instead of reading.
The reason why is because I'm on a family ski trip and on Thursday I took a spill or faceplanted. I ended up with a few scrapes and bruises and thought everything was fine.
Well yesterday I was having some difficulties reading. When I would read I'd get this weird sensation that the world was tilting and I'd feel dizzy.
My mom is a nurse and she thinks there is a possibility that I could have a very mild concussion from faceplanting while skiing. This is primarily based off of my symptoms and not a real diagnosis obviously. Since this is my first ever concussion it's not that big of a deal but if the symptoms persist today then I will have to stay back at the condo while everyone else goes skiing.
So I figured since I have to be careful with reading and that I will probably have a good amount of time on my hands today I would start listening to an audiobook. So I looked and found the dramatized audiobook for A Court of Thrones and Roses. I'm already on chapter 2 and it is so good! It's like watching a movie but with only the sound and no visuals. There's a full cast (meaning different voices for each character), background music, and special effects.
I'm listening to the audiobook on Spotify. Seeing as I already had a subscription for Spotify it made sense to listen to it there rather than spending more money and buying it from Amazon. It does appear that Spotify now has the ability to sync with your e-reader device so you can switch from your e-reader to the audiobook on Spotify easily.
Anyways I just thought it would be fun to revisit this amazing series through the dramatized audiobooks.
Also, I'll be fine everyone. Don't you worry. If my symptoms were to worsen or anything my parents would for sure take me to urgent care or something like that. Especially seeing as my mom is a nurse and she knows what to look out for regarding stuff like this.
