evening habits that make me feel safe🌃🕯️
my evening habits that make me feel safe are locking both my doors at night! (i know it’s maybe false security but it’s the placebo effect😂) i have 2 locks on my sunroom door & 1 on my actual apartment door. doing this before bed just makes the night a lot more smooth for a girly living alone. my other activity for the evening while i prepare for bed is lighting a candle. this also just makes my apartment feel like home. my mom used to always light candles at night growing up and it just truly makes a home.

Creating a safe and cozy atmosphere in the evening is crucial for many individuals, especially those living alone. Incorporating simple habits can significantly enhance your sense of security. Beyond locking doors, consider establishing a nightly routine that includes mindfulness practices or relaxing activities like reading or meditation. Remember, personal security extends beyond physical barriers; enhancing your environment with soothing elements—like soft lighting and comforting scents—can create a tranquil space. Additionally, protecting your home with security measures such as alarms or camera systems can further bolster your peace of mind. Engaging in self-care routines, whether through skincare, journaling, or planning for the next day, helps wind down and reduces anxiety. Building a strong evening routine not only nurtures safety but also promotes well-being, so find what works best for you and embrace those rituals each night.
