Keyboard ASMR thocky and creamy sound
A little bit of me journaling using my new Yunzii B75 Pro Max with the stock Cherry Profile Keycaps and stock Candy Linear Switches.
I changed out a few of the keycaps with the extra ones that came with this keyboard. Just the spacebar, escape key, and F8 key (to remind me that it is the pause/play key). Might've messed up the stabilizer on the spacebar on the left side when changing it out 😩 but I'm not sure. Could just be the OCD instrusive thoughts getting to me today. Either way the spacebar still works so that is good news at least😅
Still absolutely in love with this keyboard!
As someone who has spent plenty of time exploring mechanical keyboards, I can truly appreciate the unique sound and feel that different setups provide. The Yunzii B75 Pro Max’s combination of Cherry Profile Keycaps and Candy Linear Switches really brings out a satisfying thocky sound that's perfect for ASMR fans. It’s this distinct audio quality that often draws people to mechanical keyboards—not just for typing efficiency but for the sensory experience. When I first started customizing my keyboard, swapping out keycaps always fascinated me, much like the author’s experience changing the spacebar, escape key, and F8 key. Small alterations can have a surprisingly noticeable effect not only on aesthetics but also on sound and feel. However, I learned to be careful with stabilizers, especially on larger keys like the spacebar; if they aren't seated properly, it can cause uneven or rattly sounds, which can detract from the otherwise creamy typing experience. On days when I'm feeling particular about sound, I love recording keyboard ASMR videos during a rainy day or when ambient sounds complement the keyboard tapping. That mix of natural environmental noise with the crisp, thocky keystrokes creates a calming atmosphere. Perhaps that’s why filming right before a noisy rainstorm, as mentioned in the post, captures such a perfect moment. For anyone who highly values not just typing performance but also the delightful sound feedback from their keyboards, investing time in exploring different switch types and keycap profiles is well worth it. Whether you’re journaling, gaming, or coding, the immersive soundscape can add a little joy to routine tasks. Plus, documenting your setup changes and reflecting on what worked or didn’t can be a rewarding part of the mechanical keyboard hobby. Overall, combining personal customization and mindfulness about sound quality can turn your keyboard into a satisfying, multi-sensory tool. It’s not just about functionality—it’s about crafting an inspiring experience that makes every keystroke a little more enjoyable.
