If your hair is falling out like crazy in the shower make sure you’re doing any of these & making it worse….
❌Using a scalp scrub more than 2x per month! Yes they are fabbbb for your hair, but if you use it every wash day you’re over exfoliating & could cause breakage at your root
❌Only cleansing one time. If you want your hair to feel CLEAN & you want your scalp + hair to get the most moisture and nutrients possible, you need to double shampoo
❌Using a regular towel to dry. Don’t even use it at all honestly. Put your hair soaking wet straight into the microfiber towel (bonus: use something even more gentle than microfiber like nanofiber)
A huge chunk of your breakage is happening the shower! Your hair is wet & vulnerable. If you have excessive hair fall in the shower, it might not be hair thinning it might just be you over doing it & causing breakage

During my hair care journey, I realized that many of the common habits we think are helping our hair might actually be causing more harm than good, especially on wash days. One thing I learned is that over-exfoliating the scalp with scrubs more than twice a month can seriously weaken hair roots. I used to think daily scrubbing was giving me a cleaner scalp, but it ended up causing breakage and extra hair loss. Balancing scalp exfoliation is key—just enough to remove buildup without stripping the scalp's natural oils. Another eye-opener was the concept of double shampooing. At first, I thought washing once was enough, but double shampooing helps to thoroughly cleanse my scalp, removing impurities I didn’t realize remained after the first wash. This step prepares my scalp and hair to better absorb moisture and nutrients from conditioners and treatments. Drying hair is just as important as washing. I switched from regular bath towels to microfiber towels and it has made a noticeable difference in reducing breakage. Microfiber towels are gentler, minimizing friction that can tug on wet hair, which is particularly fragile. Some hair care enthusiasts recommend even softer materials like nanofiber towels for those with very delicate or damaged hair. Hair is at its weakest when wet, so being gentle throughout the wash and dry process is crucial. Watch out for these common "hair wash day red flags" and adjust your routine accordingly to decrease hair fall and promote healthier growth. Your scalp and hair will thank you for it!
