EDC Tips from a Veteran and a LV Local 🪩💖☮️

This year was my 7th time attending EDC Las Vegas! My first one was in 2012 ☺️ Living in Vegas has made this pretty easy to accomplish and the years I didn’t go were either because I was not living in Vegas, pregnant, or it was Covid. But I’m glad to be back and already looking forward to next year!! 💃🏻

The energy at EDC is electric and it’s a truly inclusive and loving community 💖

If you’re planning to attend EDCLV in 2025, here are my top tips!

1. Protect your feet! 🦶 - You’ll end up walking about 7-15 miles on any given night at the festival, so comfy shoes is a MUST. I have worn slip-on Vans a handful of times and they’re okay, but my feet definitely feel it afterwards. A pair of good comfy sneakers is a game changer. This year I wore my purple No Bulls and it was amazing. If you’re a platform boots kinda girly make sure you wear heel protectors and bring moleskin tape just in case! The last thing you want is any kind of blister or to damage your toenails.

2. Be prepared to sweat 😅- It’s the desert y’all, it’s warm! Mid-May temps at night range from 80-95 degrees (and could be more if we’re having a heat wave!). With all the walking, heat, and large crowds you’re guaranteed to get sweaty. I highly recommend light clothing (or as little clothing as possible 😉) and bringing a fan! I also see many people wear head wraps, sweat bands, and hats. If you’re worried about getting smelly, bring a little deodorant!

3. Bring a hydration pack 💦 - Stay hydrated babe! Water bottles at the festival are only $5, but you don’t want to go wait in line every hour or two when there are hundreds of other fun things to be doing. They have free water stations to refill your hydro pack and this is 100% the way to go.

4. Wear the outfit! 👙👩‍🎤- I have struggled with self-consciousness many times in my life and EDC is the one place in the world where I feel confident and also dgaf what others might think because believe me when I say you will see every type of outfit you can imagine and ALL are welcomed and accepted. Seeing how people show up when they’re not worried of being judged is one of my absolute favorite things about EDC! So if you’re worried about looking ridiculous or “too much”, just know that everyone will be looking like that and it’s AMAZING.

5. Go with the flow 🪩🌈✨ - Don’t get me wrong, having a plan is nice but it will almost certainly never go exactly the way you imagine. There are so many things to discover and experiences to have. You might be surprised by an artist you’d never heard of or weren’t planning on seeing. I’d pick 1 or 2 artists that are a must-see and then remain open to the rest and just go where the night take you 😌

If you’ve been to EDC what would be your top tip for new comers?
