NYC with your best mom friends 🎄🚕

Do it. Your husband and kids will survive.

... Read moreOkay, ladies, let's be real. Motherhood is amazing, but sometimes you just need a break with your favorite people who *get it*. If you've been dreaming of a getaway, then this is your sign to take the moms trip you've been talking about! My recent adventure to NYC with my best girlfriends was exactly what the doctor ordered, and trust me, your significant others and kids will not only survive, but they'll probably thrive on their own for a few days. So, if you're wondering about the best things to do with mom in NYC (or your amazing mom friends), here's a little peek into our unforgettable experience and some ideas for yours! First off, embracing the city's energy is a must. We started our days with leisurely brunches – there are so many incredible spots, from cozy cafes in the West Village to chic Upper East Side eateries. It’s the perfect way to catch up without interruptions. After fueling up, we always had a plan, but we also left room for spontaneity. For classic NYC charm, a stroll through Central Park is non-negotiable. We spent an afternoon just wandering, people-watching, and enjoying the beautiful fall foliage (or imagine how magical it would be during Christmas with the festive decorations!). It’s a great way to unwind amidst the urban hustle. No moms' trip to NYC is complete without some culture and entertainment. We splurged on a Broadway show and it was absolutely worth every penny – the energy, the talent, the sheer joy of it all! For art lovers, the Met or MoMA offer endless inspiration and make for wonderful, contemplative afternoons. If shopping is your therapy, Fifth Avenue or the boutiques in SoHo provide plenty of opportunities to treat yourselves. We found some amazing unique pieces! One of my favorite parts was simply enjoying delicious food and drinks. From grabbing a slice of authentic New York pizza to a fancy dinner with cocktails, we savored every bite. Don't forget to factor in some relaxing moments too – maybe a spa treatment, or just finding a cute rooftop bar for a sunset drink while rehashing the day's adventures. The conversation flows so easily when you’re not worried about bedtime stories or homework! My biggest takeaway? It’s not just about what you do, but who you do it with. These trips strengthen bonds, refresh your spirit, and remind you of the incredible friendships you have. So, seriously, rally your squad, pick a date, and start planning. NYC offers an endless playground for adult fun and reconnection. It really is this is your sign to take the moms trip you deserve. Go make those memories – you absolutely won't regret it!
