... Read moreHey everyone! I wanted to dive a little deeper into what 'faith over fear' truly means for me, beyond just a phrase. It’s a daily practice, especially when life throws curveballs and uncertainty creeps in. I know I’m not alone in feeling overwhelmed sometimes, and that’s when I remind myself to lean into trust. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that 'trusting God' isn't about having all the answers or never feeling scared. It's about acknowledging the fear, but consciously choosing to place my hope and confidence in something bigger than myself. For me, that means actively untangling those anxious thoughts that swirl around. When my mind starts racing with 'what ifs,' I try to pause and ask myself: Is this thought serving me? Is it rooted in truth, or is it fear trying to take over? A powerful way I find to do this is by focusing on God's promises. The Bible is full of them, offering comfort and assurance. Just like the notes in my journal, Proverbs 9:10 reminds us that 'The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.' For me, this isn't about being afraid of God, but rather having a reverent awe and respect for His power and goodness, which helps put my own worries into perspective. When I remember His faithfulness throughout history and in my own life, it helps me to let go of the need to control everything. Practically, this looks like starting my day with a moment of quiet reflection, reading a verse or two, and consciously handing over my worries. Throughout the day, if I feel anxiety rising, I try to take a deep breath and say a quick prayer, even if it's just 'God, I trust You.' It’s not always easy, and some days are harder than others, but consistency is key. Another thing that helps me overcome fear is connecting with others who share a similar journey. Hearing how they navigate their uncertainties through faith can be incredibly encouraging. Realizing that I'm part of a community strengthens my resolve. It’s about building a foundation of trust that can withstand the storms. This isn't a quick fix, but a journey of learning and growing, constantly choosing faith, even when the path ahead isn't clear. It’s a process of surrendering and allowing peace to replace panic, one step at a time. I truly believe that by consistently choosing faith, we can transform our fears into fuel for growth and a deeper connection with our spiritual path.
