♠️Some days I’m steady. Some days I’m not.

I look around and see people who hurt others and they are moving on, getting new things, building new lives. And I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t sting. It makes me wonder why their world seems to rise while mine still feels stuck in the middle of old wounds and old questions.

♦️I tell myself I’ve forgiven… but then a new wave hits, and I realize my heart is still learning how to let go.

And that’s okay. Forgiveness isn’t a switch, it’s slow.

♥️I’m not alone in this, I know others fight this same battle. Wanting to move forward, wanting to forgive, wanting to stop looking back at what broke them.

♠️Forgiveness isn’t saying the pain didn’t matter. It’s choosing not to carry it forever.

And even when I’m not there yet, God is patient with me while I learn.

♦️God, You see the parts of my heart that still hurt.

Help me let go of what’s holding me back and give me strength to forgive, even when it’s hard. Show me the blessings I already have and guide me forward into the life You’re building for me. Heal the places that still ache, and remind me that my time to rise will come. Amen.

... Read moreForgiveness is often misunderstood as a simple act or a one-time decision, but as many experience, including those following spiritual teachings, it is a gradual process filled with emotional waves. The Bible verse from Ephesians 4:32 reminds us to "Be kind and loving to each other. Forgive each other, the same as God forgave you through Christ." This highlights that forgiveness is deeply connected with kindness, love, and grace. When we hold onto pain, it can weigh heavily on our hearts, making us feel stuck while it seems others move forward effortlessly. However, it's important to recognize that comparing our healing timeline to others' can rob us of our own peace and blessings. Everyone's rise and recovery happen in their own time. Learning to forgive means acknowledging that the hurt was real and significant but choosing not to carry that burden forever. This choice is not about forgetting or excusing harm but about freeing oneself from the grip of past wounds. Embracing forgiveness allows space for healing and growth, often supported by faith and prayer, as described in heartfelt supplications asking for strength to let go and guidance toward a hopeful future. If you find the process difficult, you're not alone. Many wrestle with the desire to forgive and the challenge of release. Reflection questions such as "What emotion am I still holding that I want to release today?" and "What blessings have I been overlooking?" can help shift focus and cultivate gratitude, further aiding the healing journey. Ultimately, forgiveness is a compassionate act of self-care and faith, inviting patience with yourself as you learn to heal and rise in your own time.
