My Favorite Clean Small Brand Skincare

I am so lucky in my small town to have a locally owned, locally made, clean ingredients skincare brand! Not only are the products from Beauty Farm super cute, they work so well!

A little about my skin type: I get hormonal breakouts but nothing too bad usually. However, my skin is very dry and can be on the sensitive side especially with fragranced products. I have done a lot of product testing over the years primarily for skincare and beauty products so when I say I love something, it’s backed by experience with many other products and brands!

Here’s what is in my routine:

🩷Lavender Tea Foaming Face Wash- smells incredible, gentle foaming cleanser, keeps my face looking and feeling fresh and clear, long lasting product for only $10.50!!!

🩷Fragrance Free Cleansing Balm- easily removes makeup, doesn’t irritate my eyes like many cleaners do, no weird smell, washes off incredibly well! $23.95

🩷Rosewater toner- probably my least favorite product, to me the fragrance was irritatingly strong although it seemed to still work well with my skin. I’d like to try her cucumber toner instead though as that scent shouldn’t be as powerful. $12.95

Bonus product!

🤎Natural beard oil- I got this for my husband and he was very impressed! It works very well to help maintain and straighten his beard. I can’t say it made it thicker or longer since it already was both but the oil smells sooo good… not overly musky manly but slightly sweet in a sexy way.

Check out The Beauty Farm WY if you want to try any of her products! And if something is out of stock or you need to ask questions, reach out to her… she’s running a small business so she is quick to get back to customers and has customized products whipped up in no time! 🩷 Let me know if you try them and what you think!

... Read moreFinding effective skincare can be a journey, and for me, discovering small, clean beauty brands has been a game-changer. It’s not just about what you put on your skin, but also supporting businesses that often pour their heart into their craft. When I stumbled upon The Beauty Farm, I immediately appreciated their commitment to locally-made, clean ingredients, which resonated deeply with my desire for trustworthy products. Why choose small skincare brands? In my experience, they often offer a more personal touch and unique formulations. You're more likely to find products made in smaller batches, potentially leading to fresher ingredients. Plus, the direct customer service is usually fantastic – I love being able to ask questions and even get customized products, just like with The Beauty Farm! It feels good to know you're contributing to a local economy and supporting someone's passion. The term "clean beauty" can sometimes feel overwhelming, but for me, it boils down to transparency and ingredients that are gentle yet effective. With my dry, sensitive skin that's prone to hormonal breakouts, I've learned to scrutinize labels. I look for formulations free from harsh synthetic fragrances, parabens, and sulfates. My journey led me to appreciate products like the Lavender Tea Foaming Face Wash and the Fragrance-Free Cleansing Balm I mentioned earlier – simple, effective, and kind to my skin. Even though the Rosewater Toner wasn't a perfect scent match for my sensitivity, the brand's commitment to quality was clear. Beyond the efficacy, the visual appeal of clean beauty products can also be a joy. I’ve become quite fond of showcasing my favorite finds through skincare flatlays. It’s a fun way to appreciate the aesthetic of your routine and inspire others. For instance, arranging my foaming face wash, cleansing balm, and toner on a lovely green leaf-shaped dish, perhaps with a pink facial roller nearby, makes my daily routine feel more special. The cute illustrations on some of the packaging, like the pig on the cleansing balm, add a touch of personality that you often don't get with mass-produced brands. Even the amber dropper bottle of beard oil has a rustic charm! If you're looking to dive into clean beauty or explore small brands, my advice is to start by understanding your skin's unique needs. Patch testing new products is crucial, especially if you have sensitive skin. Don't be afraid to read ingredient lists and research anything you don't recognize. There's a whole world of incredible, often underestimated small brands out there waiting to be discovered, offering everything from amazing facial cleansers and balms to unique items like natural beard oils. Your skin (and your vanity) will thank you for it!
