Labubu Hunting in LA

Today I’m hunting for Labubu’s in LA!

Somehow these bad boys are still hard to obtain especially with the cute small ones releasing recently. I went ahead and checked out 3 Pop Mart locations in LA to see if they had any.

1.Pop Mart of Century City Mall

The largest location with the most stock, they did not have any Labubus but so much other stuff.

2.Glendale Galleria

I did end up finding other Labubu items here but none of the cute small ones that I wanted!

3.Santa Anita Mall

This is in its soft opening so not too many people were here quite yet. They had cups and buildable Labubu scenery but no plushies on site until their grand opening.

LA is home to the most amount of Pop Marts in America and Labubu is still nowhere to found at actual pop mart stores! Have you gotten yours yet?

... Read moreMy recent Labubu hunting trip to Pop Mart locations across Los Angeles made me realize just how popular and challenging it can be to find specific blind box figures, especially those highly sought-after Labubu characters! If you're like me and often find yourself searching for the latest Pop Mart releases or other unique collectibles in the US, here are some insights and tips I've gathered to help with your own treasure hunts. First, it's clear that the demand for Pop Mart figures, like the specific 'plush blue rabbit character' or those cute 'smaller collectible figures' pictured in their displays, often outstrips supply, especially for popular lines like 'The Monsters' series. While visiting physical stores in LA is a fun experience – seeing those 'brightly lit entrance' signs and impressive 'store window displays' – it's not always the most reliable method for securing specific items. Where to Look Beyond Physical Stores in LA: Pop Mart US Online Store: This is often the most direct way to get new releases. Sign up for their newsletters and follow their social media to get alerts on drops. They frequently restock popular items, and you can sometimes pre-order. This bypasses the in-store disappointment I sometimes face. Trusted Online Retailers: Many specialty toy and collectible shops in the US have an online presence and carry Pop Mart. A quick search for 'collectibles store online' might reveal some gems. Always check reviews to ensure legitimacy. Secondary Marketplaces (with caution): Sites like eBay or dedicated collector groups on social media can be great for finding older or harder-to-get figures. However, be cautious of inflated prices and always verify seller reputation to avoid fakes or scams. Tips for Your Next Pop Mart or Collectible Hunt in Los Angeles: Call Ahead: Before making a special trip to a 'Pop Mart' or any 'collectibles store' in Los Angeles, give them a call. Ask about stock for specific series or characters. This can save you a lot of time and travel, especially when you're looking for something as specific as those small Labubu figures. Follow Social Media: Many Pop Mart locations and local collectible shops will announce new arrivals or restocks on their Instagram or Facebook pages. This is how I often keep an eye out for potential drops. Explore Beyond Pop Mart: While Pop Mart is fantastic, LA is a hub for unique finds. Visit diverse 'collectibles store' types – from anime and manga shops in Little Tokyo to specialty toy stores in Pasadena or Santa Monica. You might discover other 'astronaut-themed' figures, 'egg-themed collectible figures,' or 'rabbit-like characters' that capture your heart, even if it's not the Labubu you initially sought. Conventions and Pop-ups: Keep an eye out for local conventions like Anime Expo, DesignerCon, or smaller pop-up events in the LA area. These are prime spots for exclusive releases and a wider variety of blind boxes and collectible art toys. Even though my recent hunt for Labubu at various Pop Mart locations didn't yield the exact small figures I wanted, the thrill of the chase and the discovery of other cool items, like the 'large brown bear figure' or different types of 'diverse collectible figures' on those 'wall display' shelves, was still a fun experience. Happy hunting, fellow collectors!
