... Read moreAfter my whirlwind 24 hours in Toronto, I learned a few things that really helped make the day super smooth and unforgettable! If you're planning your own quick trip, here are some extra tips I wish I knew beforehand to maximize your experience. First off, getting around efficiently is key. Toronto’s public transit (TTC) is great, but for a packed day, I found that walking between some of the downtown attractions like the CN Tower, St. Lawrence Market, and even the ROM was surprisingly manageable and let me soak in more of the city's vibe. For longer distances, consider using ride-sharing apps or hopping on the subway. Factor in travel time between spots – even short distances can take longer than expected with traffic or waiting for transit. When it comes to the popular spots, pre-booking tickets for places like the CN Tower and the Royal Ontario Museum is a lifesaver. Trust me, skipping those lines gives you more precious time for exploring! I also checked the concert schedule at Rogers Centre in advance, just in case there was a game or show I wanted to catch. My morning at Mildred's Temple Kitchen with those fluffy blueberry buttermilk pancakes was an absolute dream, but if you're looking for a quicker breakfast or a different vibe, Toronto has countless amazing coffee shops and bakeries. The Peameal Bacon Sandwich at St. Lawrence Market is a must-try for lunch, but don't forget to wander through the market itself – it's a feast for the senses with so many local vendors and delicious treats. For dinner at Miku Toronto, the artfully presented sushi was truly a highlight. It feels like a special treat. If you're on a tighter budget or prefer something more casual, the city offers incredible diverse food options, from Kensington Market’s street food to delicious poutine spots. And for the evening, while the Rogers Centre during a concert (like the one I saw, with the illuminated stadium creating such an electric atmosphere!) is amazing, don't underestimate the charm of simply strolling through the historic Distillery District at night. The string lights and unique architecture make for incredible evening photos and a relaxing end to a busy day. It’s also a perfect spot to grab a drink. Finally, remember to wear comfortable shoes because you'll be doing a lot of walking, and bring a portable charger for your phone – you'll be snapping pictures of everything from the Toronto skyline at night to that impressive dinosaur skeleton at the ROM! A light jacket is also a good idea, as Canadian weather can be unpredictable. This itinerary is packed, but remember it's your trip – feel free to swap things out based on your interests. Enjoy your Toronto adventure!
