ophelia: the best loaf and friend
Meet my cat 🤎:
Ophelia is also known as Oph, Oph Loaf, Ophie, Loafie, and My little Espresso Bean. She is one of the biggest ties to why I keep going in this world. The cat distribution system did its work in mid 2020 and little Oph chose me as her mother at a local pet shop. For a couple years, she did what normal cats do: avoid, beg for food, steal chicken from my fork, and sleep. When 2022 rolled around, my grandmother passed away on April 16th. Ophelia decided to become my anchor. The door could never be closed without her with me, I would always need to be in eye’s distance of her, and we would become mandatory cuddle buddies. Come 2023, we would make a travel and root ourselves in Georgia. She was the best travel buddy to have and continues to be what roots me here. She is the best fur baby I could have asked for. From continuing to steal my chicken to sitting on my lap while I work, she lets me know I am not alone and that we will be best friends until the end. I don’t know what I would do without her. She is my earth cat and forever holds me to the best motherly standard.
