Your body just needs the right support.
Perimenopause weight loss plateau? Why you’re not losing weight (even when you’re trying everything)…
If you’re eating better…
Trying to stay consistent…
And the scale STILL won’t move…
You’re not broken. 🤍
It’s not just about food…
It’s things like:
• Constant stress your body can’t come down from
• Poor sleep (even when you’re exhausted)
• A body that just feels… off
And over time…
your metabolism adapts to all of it.
It slows down… not because you failed…
but because your body is trying to protect you.
When your body is constantly under stress…
your cortisol stays elevated.
And that can look like:
• Holding onto belly fat
• Feeling exhausted but wired
• Cravings that feel impossible to control
It’s not a lack of discipline…
it’s your body trying to keep you safe.
So if you feel stuck…
it’s not because you’re not trying hard enough.
It’s because your body needs a different kind of support now.
Less pressure…
More understanding…
And the right support to help your body work with you, not against you. 🤍
Your breakthrough is coming.
Not overnight… but in a way that actually lasts.
Just don’t give up on yourself.
One step forward. 🤍

Many women going through perimenopause experience frustrating weight loss plateaus, even when they believe they are doing everything right. From my own journey and talking with others, it's clear that understanding the underlying causes is key to overcoming these barriers. One major factor is elevated cortisol levels caused by chronic stress. When your body perceives constant stress, cortisol stays high, which can lead to stubborn belly fat, overwhelming fatigue, and uncontrollable cravings. This isn’t a sign of weakness or failure; it’s your body trying to protect itself. I found that simply improving diet and exercise wasn’t enough when my cortisol was out of balance. Prioritizing stress management techniques like mindfulness meditation, gentle yoga, and adequate rest helped lower my cortisol levels, allowing my metabolism to reset naturally. Sleep quality also plays a crucial role. Even if you’re exhausted, poor sleep disrupts hormone regulation and slows metabolism. Establishing a calming nighttime routine—limiting screen time before bed, reducing caffeine intake after noon, and creating a comfortable sleep environment—made a noticeable difference. Remember, perimenopause requires a gentler approach. Instead of pushing harder, focusing on supportive habits that honor your changing body is essential. This may include adapting your workouts to include more restorative activities, seeking emotional support, and giving yourself grace through the process. If you feel stuck, don’t give up. Your body’s needs evolve, and with the right understanding and support, you can break through the plateau and achieve sustainable wellness. Taking one step forward, embracing self-compassion, and listening to your body truly make all the difference in the journey toward health in midlife.
