Starting over isn't a weakness!
They say menopause makes weight loss impossible… but I’m about to test that theory.
Menopause weight loss feels impossible… until you decide to start over one more time.
I have started over more times than I can count.
Different diets.
Different plans.
Different promises that this time would be the one.
And honestly… there were moments I started to believe what so many people say about menopause:
“That your metabolism is broken.”
“That your body just won’t change anymore.”
There were moments I almost gave up.
But something feels different this time.
Not because everything is perfect.
In fact, today is a migraine day and my fibromyalgia is flaring.
But I’m still showing up.
Because this journey was never about having perfect days.
It’s about showing up anyway.
So I committed to 100 days of taking care of my body.
Hydration.
Movement.
Supporting my body in ways that reduce inflammation.
And giving myself grace when things aren’t easy.
One day at a time.
One small decision at a time.
One step forward 🤍
Day 99 / 100
If you’re a woman in menopause who feels like your body is working against you… please know this:
You are not broken.
Sometimes we just have to start over again… with a little more wisdom than before.
And this time?
I’m not quitting.
If you’re starting over too, comment “ME.”/Dallas
Let’s do this together. 🤍
Starting over can feel daunting, especially during menopause when many believe their body is working against them. From personal experience, I’ve learned that embracing the journey one day at a time is key. Menopause can indeed bring new challenges—slower metabolism, hormonal fluctuations, and stubborn weight gain—but it doesn’t make change impossible. I found that focusing on small, sustainable habits makes a significant difference. For example, staying well-hydrated helps manage inflammation and supports metabolism, which aligns with efforts to reduce menopausal symptoms. Incorporating gentle, regular movement tailored to my current health needs — even on days affected by migraines or fibromyalgia flare-ups — keeps my body strong without overexertion. Another critical aspect is self-compassion. I give myself grace on difficult days while reminding myself that progress isn’t linear. Starting over multiple times wasn’t failure; it was gaining wisdom on what works for my body now. This mental shift helped me persist through setbacks and embrace a lifestyle that supports my changing body. If you feel discouraged by what menopause seems to dictate, remember you are not broken. Your body is adapting, and with patience, hydration, movement, and inflammation support, you can reclaim your health. This is a journey shared by many women facing menopause; building a community mindset can foster motivation and resilience. Together, by sharing our stories and cheering each other on, we redefine what it means to age healthily and vibrantly. Starting over may be challenging, but it’s also an opportunity to build a stronger, wiser version of yourself – one small step forward at a time.

It doesn’t matter how many times you start over as long as you never stop!
