Best fall getaway from NYC
I’ll be honest… I almost didn’t take this trip. I was hesitant of spending time in a small town I’d never been, especially as a Black woman. But I ultimately made the decision to go and I am sooooo glad I did!
Not once did I feel out of place. Everyone was genuinely friendly and the freshness of the mountain air in this stretch of the Western Catskills made it a much needed escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of the city. And I learned so much about this part of New York that I would have never known if I didn’t take the chance on exploring something new.
Truly an amazing time and one of the best fall getaways I’ve been lucky enough to experience. If you’re looking to escape the madness for a weekend of peace, Delaware County is a must for your travel list!
