... Read morePregnancy is often portrayed as a magical and beautiful experience, but in reality, it can be incredibly tough, both physically and emotionally. I personally struggled throughout my pregnancy and found myself dreading much of what comes with it—from morning sickness and fatigue to the emotional rollercoaster. Many people don’t talk about the not-so-glamorous side, but I believe it’s important to be honest about these feelings. For me, it was a hate-love relationship; while I was excited about the arrival of my baby, the pregnancy itself was something I wished I could avoid. One of the hardest parts for me was the lack of control over my body and the overwhelming changes it underwent. The constant discomfort, mood swings, and the stress of preparing for a new life made it a challenging time. I learned that it’s okay to not enjoy every moment and that sharing these feelings helped me feel less alone. If you’re going through a similar experience, know that your feelings are valid. Seeking support from friends, family, or support groups can make a big difference. Taking time for self-care and allowing yourself to express both the struggles and the joys can help balance the emotional toll of pregnancy. Ultimately, while I hated many aspects of my pregnancy, welcoming my baby into the world made the journey worthwhile, even if I never want to go through it again.
