It instantly transforms the look and adds that touch of innocent charm she's known for. When it comes to the wig, Umaru-chan’s blonde hair is pretty distinctive. I opted for a relatively natural blonde, styled with a bit of volume to capture her often messy-but-cute indoor look. Thankfully, her makeup is usually super minimal, which is a win for those of us who aren't pro makeup artists! A bit of blush, maybe some light eyeliner, and you're good to go. It's all about looking fresh-faced and ready for a snack attack. Now, let's talk props – these are crucial for truly embodying Umaru! What’s an Umaru without her cola and a bag of potato chips? I always make sure to grab some for my photoshoots. Sometimes I even bring a small gaming controller or a manga volume to really sell that 'indoor otaku' vibe. These little touches make all the difference and help tell the story of her character. Posing as Umaru was probably my favorite part! She has two distinct personalities: the perfect, elegant sister she is outside, and the super lazy, chibi version at home. For cosplay, I leaned into the 'himouto' side.
