Mama’s of little boys.. I need your help. I need tips and tricks on potty training. My son will be 3 in July and he has no interest what so ever on using the potty. We have tried 3 different types of potty chairs and all. 😩 #momlife #boymom
Potty training can be a challenging phase, especially when your little boy shows little to no interest in using the potty. From my experience and conversations with other moms, patience and creativity are key. One trick that worked wonders was turning potty time into a fun activity—using colorful books, songs, or even small rewards to motivate my child. Also, consistency matters; try to create a potty routine around meal times or after naps when your child’s body is most likely ready to go. Sometimes, the type of potty chair can make a huge difference. It’s great that you’ve experimented with different chairs; consider letting your son choose his favorite, perhaps with a favorite character or bright colors that appeal to him. Another tip is to encourage him to watch and learn from older siblings or parents, as children often imitate those around them. Avoid showing frustration, and instead celebrate small victories to build his confidence. Remember, every child develops at their own pace. Incorporating encouragement, a calm approach, and regular reminders can gradually build his interest in potty training. Joining parenting forums or mom groups can also provide ongoing support and fresh ideas tailored specifically for boys. Above all, stay positive and flexible. Potty training is a journey, and your dedication and understanding will guide your son through this important milestone smoothly.
