How to sell on carousell as a side hustle

Here how I use carousell to make side income

Carousell is a place where people buy and sell things, usually preowned/preloved.

🔴Create an account and have a few reviews

Go buy things to make sure that your account seem trust worthy, get a few reviews is good enough

🔴Liquidity and turnover

Find trendy product by see what is usually popular. Search up something that you would like and use, you want to find is there a lot of liquidity and turn over

🔵Example ralph lauren is popular, there is a lot of listing, as well as very short tenor which you can hardly find anything above 3 month.

🔴Find the product

Ebay and auction is a good way to get cheap goods especially buying in bulk. It amazing how much cheap product you can get from by negotiating and bidding on product. Search [product name] lots to find the things you want to get.

🔴Listing

Make sure your listing have a lot of key words to make sure that users can easily to find, like brand name, item, colour, size, material. Make sure to put more details so users do not have to keep asking for it. Make sure there a lot of pictures so that the users do not have to keep asking for it as well.

🔴dealing with buyers

Time is money, so if the buyers low ball is easier just to block and ignore. Also check buyer reputation/review as it can tell a lot about the buyer whether are they serious or they going to ghost. Make sure your buyer also make an offer before meeting, if the item is very expensive/bulky ask for a deposit.

🔴close the deal

After you meet your buyer, make sure you get a review, as such carousell do prioritise seller with more review which may make your listing show up more frequent.

🟡Tips

Reposting whenever is possible as first day listing usually get priority to show on top, make sure change the pictures and edit abit of the listing.

Watch out for listing limits as it will be an issue if you list too many things within a month.

... Read moreAside from the basics covered, it's valuable to understand Carousell's payment and delivery features to enhance your selling experience. For example, enabling Buyer Protection can build trust, helping your buyers feel secure when making payments, especially for higher-value items. Carousell also offers a feature called Carousell Cash, which tracks your lifetime earnings and helps you manage sales better. Monitoring this regularly can give you insight into which products or strategies help improve your income. Another tip is to engage actively with the community by responding promptly to inquiries and negotiating offers politely. This improves your reputation and encourages repeat buyers. I've found that offering bundle deals or discounts incentivizes quicker sales and higher turnover. Remember to stay updated on Carousell's listing limits and policies to avoid any disruptions. If you're sourcing items in bulk from auctions or eBay, double-check shipping costs and delivery times to maintain profitability. Lastly, sharing your selling journey with Carousell groups or forums can provide support and new tips directly from experienced sellers. Consistently collecting reviews after each successful transaction builds your credibility and increases your visibility on the platform, making it easier to grow your side hustle over time.
