หลังอ่าน “I THINK, THEREFORE I AM – ฉันคิด ฉันจึงมีอยู่” จบ สิ่งที่รู้สึกชัดมากคือเล่มนี้ไม่ได้มาแนวปรัชญาหนัก ๆ แบบตำรา แต่เป็นหนังสือที่ใช้ “ประโยคสั้น + คำถาม” ช่วยพาเราไปทบทวนใจตัวเองแบบนุ่ม ๆ โดยเฉพาะคนที่กำลังเหนื่อยล้า หรือรู้สึกหลงทางกับคำว่า “ความสุข” สิ่งที่อยากเพิ่มจากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวคือ วิธีอ่านให้ได้ประโยชน์ที่สุด (สำหรับคนที่ซื้อเพราะหารีวิว i think therefore i am book หรืออยากรู้ว่าเหมาะกับใคร) ฉันชอบเปิดอ่านวันละ 1–2 หน้า ไม่อ่านรวดเดียว เพราะคำถามในเล่มมันเหมือนตั้งไว้ให้เราหยุดคิดจริง ๆ เช่นประโยคแนว ๆ “If heaven did exist, would people there find true happiness?” / “หากสวรรค์มีจริง ผู้คนที่อยู่บนนั้นจะสามารถมีความสุขอย่างแท้จริงได้ไหมนะ?” พออ่านช้า ๆ แล้วจดคำตอบของตัวเองสั้น ๆ จะเหมือนได้ไดอารี่ย่อม ๆ เลย อีกอย่างที่หลายคนอาจชอบคือเล่มนี้เหมาะกับการฝึกภาษาอังกฤษแบบไม่กดดัน เพราะมีไทยกำกับ ทำให้เราเดาความหมายได้ทันที ฉันลองทำ 3 วิธีง่าย ๆ: 1) อ่านอังกฤษก่อน แล้วค่อยเช็กไทย (ทดสอบความเข้าใจ) 2) วงคำที่ชอบ/คำที่ไม่คุ้น แล้วจดลงโน้ตพร้อมประโยคตัวอย่าง 3) ลองแปลไทยกลับเป็นอังกฤษด้วยคำของเราเอง (ช่วยเรื่อง writing) พาร์ตงานภาพก็เป็นอีกเหตุผลที่ทำให้หยิบมาเปิดซ้ำบ่อย ๆ ปกและภาพประกอบ “สุนัขจิ้งจอก” บนพื้นหลังสีเขียวเข้มดูอบอุ่นมาก เหมือนเป็นเพื่อนตัวเล็ก ๆ อยู่ข้าง ๆ เวลาเราใจบาง ๆ ทำให้หนังสือเล่มนี้เหมาะกับการวางไว้ข้างเตียงหรือโต๊ะทำงาน เปิดอ่านตอนพักสายตาได้เลย สำหรับคนที่เสิร์ชคำแปลประโยคอังกฤษแนว “you think it’s easy writing a story” ถ้าเจอประโยคสไตล์นี้ในเล่มหรือในแนวคำคมใกล้เคียง ฉันมักแปลให้เป็นธรรมชาติได้ประมาณว่า “คิดว่าเขียนเรื่องหนึ่งมันง่ายเหรอ?” หรือถ้าจะให้สุภาพขึ้น “คุณคิดว่าการเขียนเรื่องสักเรื่องมันง่ายงั้นเหรอ?” (บริบทจะทำให้โทนแข็ง/นุ่มต่างกัน) สรุปคือ “ฉันคิด ฉันจึงมีอยู่” เป็นหนังสือที่เหมาะกับคนอยากได้ทั้งกำลังใจและพื้นที่ปลอดภัยในการคุยกับตัวเอง แนะนำให้ลองอ่านแบบค่อย ๆ ซึม แล้วเก็บประโยคที่โดนใจไปใช้เป็นแคปชันหรือไว้เตือนตัวเองในวันที่เหนื่อยค่ะ
