Today I am 7,159 Days Sober.

Today makes 7,159 days sober for me. 7,159 days ago, I walked into a NTP, 3 months pregnant. I was terrified. I was too scared to even be hopeful yet. But I did it. I made it. I am currently sober, working on my bachelors in Substance Use Counseling, in fact I graduated my diploma and my Associates in SUD counseling with high honors! My baby is grown, healthy and happy. I am in a long term relationship with a sober partner and frequently do public speaking surrounding my story. I am a recovery coach and peer support for those in recovery, or looking to find their sobriety. Would you like to hear any of my story? If you are interested in being part of a sober minded, positive and supportive community— that is what I am trying to build here. I would love to create that community together!

These pics are from a trip I took across country. I took a train from Maine to Texas and back home to Maine! It was such an adventure! I have so many stories from the trip I would love to share! It was an opportunity to show myself another way I am capable of standing on my own two feet. A long, incredible journey, and several bad tattoos later, I made it home! Now THAT could be describing my vacation, or MY LIFE! 😅😂

Let’s be friends!! 🥰#sobriety #soberjourney #soberliving #travel #amtrak #tattoo #wedorecover #summerdiary #lemon8challenge #lemon8contest

... Read moreEmbarking on a sober journey is about more than just quitting; it's about redefining life and discovering new possibilities. Many individuals, like me, have found strength in vulnerability and connection through sharing personal experiences. Recovery isn't a solitary journey; support systems play a crucial role in maintaining sobriety. Participating in community resources, like group therapy or involvement in sober events, can provide essential encouragement. Travel can also play a transformative role in recovery. I found that exploring new places, like my trip across the country, opened my eyes to the beauty of life beyond addiction. Such experiences not only enhance personal growth but also cultivate resilience and joy. Embracing a sober lifestyle can lead to fulfilling adventures, new friendships, and invaluable lessons. Together, we can foster a culture of openness and support, encouraging each other to share stories, celebrate milestones, and aid in the recovery journey. Sober living is possible, and with determination and community, we can achieve our goals! Whether you're seeking help or wanting to uplift others, reach out! Together, we can do it. We do recover.
