How to lose weight with Diabetes?
Hi guys! Here it is— Vulnerability. I want some advice. I am 42 and have been diabetic for a while now. My genetics kind of suck. 😬 Weight-loss since being diagnosed has been super difficult. I would like to get rid of some of the mom weight, tbh. I still have about 30 pounds I would like to shed. I keep trying different things, lots of protein, low sugar, staying active… eating a whole food diet. I do not want to have to hit the gym daily, that isn’t realistic to my lifestyle. But I am willing to exercise daily, whether in my home or going for walks, etc. I feel like my metabolism is nonexistent these days. Please help!

Managing weight with diabetes can be challenging, but it is achievable with the right strategies. Focus on a balanced diet that is rich in whole foods, including lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables, while minimizing processed sugars and carbohydrates. Monitor blood sugar levels to understand how different foods affect your body. Additionally, integrating moderate activity into your routine, such as walking or home workouts, can significantly enhance your metabolism and aid in weight loss. Remember to stay hydrated and consider discussing your weight loss plans with a healthcare provider to tailor an approach that suits your needs. Support from groups or forums tailored for diabetics can provide motivation and share success stories, essential for maintaining a positive mindset during your journey. With commitment and the right resources, losing weight while managing diabetes is not only possible but also sustainable.

Goodluck!
