perfection is just glamorized procrastination
From my experience, the biggest obstacle to progress has often been waiting for the 'perfect' moment or trying to make every detail flawless before starting. But as the saying goes, perfection is just glamorized procrastination. I learned that the key is consistent effort—even if it’s imperfect. For example, when I committed to a 12-week challenge to improve a skill, I didn’t reach all my goals on the first try. Instead of giving up, I started again, focusing on small daily actions I could maintain. This consistency built momentum and confidence, proving more effective than trying to perfect every step before moving forward. Consistency teaches you to trust yourself. When you follow through daily, you reinforce the belief that you can handle challenging tasks. This mindset shift makes setbacks less discouraging and helps you stay focused on growth rather than flawlessness. In practical terms, break large ambitions into manageable tasks and commit to doing them regularly—no perfection required. By embracing imperfection and prioritizing steady progress, you’ll find your goals becoming more attainable and your mindset more resilient.
